Tour Terms and Conditions

Introduction

It is your responsibility to read all of the terms and conditions carefully and you must not make a booking unless you understand and agree with the terms and conditions. Payment of the Booking Deposit or the Tour Price represents your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Booking and deposit

A non-refundable deposit of AUD500 per person is required, with a completed Booking Form, to secure your booking. The payment of the balance of the tour cost and any additional travel will be due 90 days before departure.

Cancellation

If you decide to cancel your booking the following charges will apply:

90 days or more before departure AUD500 (deposit)
89 – 60 days before departure 25% of tour costs
59 – 30 days before departure 50% of tour costs
29 days or less before departure 100% of tour costs

In the event that the tour does not go ahead due to insufficient bookings, the full deposit and tour price will be refunded. Should we have to cancel a tour due to external circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will offer a refund of tour payments less any unrecoverable costs.

Variations

Occasionally, circumstances beyond the control of Italian Tours necessitate changes to itineraries. Italian Tours reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to make such changes if required, but will endeavour to operate the tour as close to the original itinerary as possible. Any changes will be advised in writing.

If the number of participants in a tour is below the minimum number, or if there are significant exchange rate variations, Italian Tours reserves the right to change the tour price. Should this occur, Italian Tours will offer the option of cancelling your booking with a full refund.

Unused portions of the tour

Italian Tours will not offer a discount or refund for any portions of the tour that you elect not to use or be part of. This includes, but is not limited to meals, entry fees, accommodation, transfers, etc.

Single supplement / solo tour price

Tour prices are costed on the basis of twin-share accommodation. If you are travelling on your own, you will be required to pay the Single Supplement (which differs from tour to tour).

You will be accommodated in a double room for single occupancy. In some facilities, this may be a different style of type of room than the double or twin-share rooms.

Travel documents

A valid passport is required for all international travel and in some cases, a visa is also required. It is your responsibility to ensure you have a current passport with at least 6 months validity prior to departure.

Travel insurance

Italian Tours requires all tour participants to have a comprehensive travel insurance policy. Travel insurance should be taken out at the time of booking and must provide cover for personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation. We recommend your policy also covers cancellation, personal liability, loss of luggage and personal effects. You will be required to provide travel insurance policy number before the start of the tour.

Tour photography

The Tour Leader may take photos or videos of you during the tour that may be posted to Italian Tours Social Media accounts (Instagram and Facebook) and may be used for future promotional materials.

Acknowledgment

By completing the Italian Tours booking form and paying the deposit, you acknowledge and accept Italian Tours Terms and Conditions. You acknowledge and agree that there are general risks associated with travelling, which are beyond Italian Tour’s control and therefore Italian Tours cannot be legally responsible for any loss or damage you may incur as a result of these general risks.
